Wolfmother's new album [UPDATED]

Second album 'Cosmic Egg' is going to be released the 12th of October. Although the bandname remains the same, it's really nothing more than leadvoc Andrew Stockdale with new bandmembers, since his two former fellowcompagnions Chris Ross and Myles Heskett left the band last year. Dave Atkins, Aidan Nemeth and Ian Peres came to replace them, which

also means one extra set of guitars (Nemeth)

The team up between Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and John Paul Jones have had their first gig last night in Chicago. Dave is back behind his drumkit, Josh does the vocals and JPJ bassguitars. Funny thing is, there was a fourth member on stage: Said to be Alain Johannes, former Queens Of The Stone Age guitarist.

Their awaited debut album 'Never deserved the future' will be released October 23th, nothing was said about Europe shows and such. Despite the fact that they've been rumoured to be the so called Surprise act at least three festivals claimed to have (Rock Am Seine, Pukkelpop, Lowlands)

The Strokes frontman said the album is going to be named 'Phrazes for the young.' It's probably all about teaching the young of the old since he further on explained: "I'm trying to capture the catchiness of modern music but at the same time the power and seriousness of classical music and older music. In general, the goal is to inspire. I guess that's what art is supposed to do."

Beirut, Telepathe, Dirty Projectors and Beach House were named as his modern inspirations, not entirelly like The Strokes so it seems. There's no official release date released but expect the thing somewhere this autumn.
